Another bad year for sports...well for me at least. My Raiders will not being going to the playoffs, Donovan McNabb (my favorite player) is done for the year, and my Dodgers suck. The sport gods must not like me.

 

I'm a huge Raider fan so it pains me to say this; I hope they lose the rest of their games. I say this because I want the Raiders to get a high pick the draft. By the way, I don't care what you infindels think. The Raiders are very close to being a great team.

 

What would I do if I was the GM? Well for starters Oakland needs a new coach. Norv Turner sucks harder than a desperate hooker. Hey Norv! How the hell can you have Randy Moss and Jerry Porter and not light up the score board? Moss is "hurt", and he knows there is no point in busting his ass anymore, and quite frankly I don't blame him.  Besides its not like when the Raiders are in the huddle Randy Moss says, "Nah nah, fuck that. Check this out Kerry. I'm just gonna go deep. You just chuck the ball down the field and I'll consider thinking about catching it." I blame Norv Turner for not being able to use Randy Moss effectively. Not to mention all the mistakes that out killing the team. Someone get Tom Flores on the phone please!!! Not going to happen but I can still dream right?

 

All kidding aside, if it was my call I would be going after Eric Mangini. He's the defensive cordinator for the Patriots. Why him? Well when the Pats were riddled with injuries last sesson, he was still able to make the defense work. That's pretty impressive if you ask me. Yes he might be young, but Al Davis loves to take chances when it comes to hiring head coaches.

 

If Mangini is a no go, I would go after the defensive coordinator for Notre Dame, Rick Minter or the offensive coordinator/running back coach Michael Haywood. Why do I like these two guys from the Fighting Irish? Because anyone working underneath Charlie Weis, is a possiable good choice. Wouldn't hurt bringing in all three of these coaches in for an interview after firing Norv Turner's ass.

 

The next guy that needs to go is Kerry Collins. The guy plays scared, fumbles the ball too much, and always seems to make mental mistakes. Marques Tuiasosopo might do a better job, but that's not saying much. Time to draft another QB Raiders!!! If the my team can finish 4-12 they might have a shot at a very good pick. I would love it if the Raiders drafted Matt Leinart. I think he could fit well in the Raiders' system. He would have a lot of offensive weapons to use. Leinart could make Randy Moss a very happy man. If getting Leinart doesn't happen, I could live with trying to get someone in the NFL now. A couple guys come to my mind. Matt Schaub and Billy Volek.

 

So there you go people. That is what I would do if I was the Raiders GM. You might not agree, and I really don't give a shit if you do.
