The Best Damn Sports Forum...Period!

Week 1 of the NFL is over. And here are the updated power rankings. I don't care if you agree or disagree. Let me remind you that these are my opinons. Which means they are the right ones. But If you wanna bitch and moan you can shoot me an email.

If you missed last weeks rankings you can check them out by clicking here. After watching the Raiders get sodomized by the Chargers I think I'm gonna go drink some hard liquor to ease the pain.

So with out further delay here are the rankings for this week. Enjoy!

2006 RyanMcBain.com Power Rankings: Week 1
  RANK TEAM  REC COMMENTS
Steelers
1  Steelers 1-0-0 You have to give props to Pittsburgh. They proved that they are the real deal. It ain't easy beating a good team when you don't even have your starting quarterback.
Colts
2  Colts 1-0-0 The Colts better learn how to stop the run or this ranking won't last long.
Seahawks
3  Seahawks 1-0-0 You guys almost lost to who?!?
Falcons
4  Falcons 1-0-0 Michael Vick played decent against a good great defense.
Bengals
5  Bengals 1-0-0 If Carson Palmer can stay protected, this team will be deadly.
Patriots
6  Patriots 1-0-0 It seems like the Pats just find ways to win.
Panthers
7  Panthers 0-1-0 The Panthers should be fine once Steve Smith comes back.
Jaguars
8  Jaguars 1-0-0 The Jaguars got punched in the mouth early and came back. Impressive.
Eagles
9  Eagles 1-0-0 T.O. who?
Bears
10  Bears 1-0-0 Has the Bears offense finally arrived?
Cowboys
11  Cowboys 0-1-0 So when is Terrell Owens going to snap?
Ravens
12  Ravens 1-0-0 Steve McNair might be all this team needs.
Dolphins
13 Dolphins 0-1-0 Chris Chambers needs to step up. The same goes for Daunte Culpepper.
Chargers
14 Chargers 1-0-0 Shawne Merriman is starting to look like the next Lawrence Taylor.
Giants
15  Giants 0-1-0 Eli Manning needs to become a more accurate passer.
Rams
16  Rams 1-0-0 This might be Steven Jackson's year.
Vikings
17 Vikings 1-0-0 The Vikings are an average team. But they beat a good Skins team on the road. Smart teams win games.
Chiefs
18  Chiefs 0-1-0 The Chiefs are going to have some problems until Trent Green comes back.
Buccs
19  Buccaneers 0-1-0 Someone get Brian Griese on the phone.
Broncos
20  Broncos 0-1-0 If Jake Plummer keeps this up, Jay Cutler is going to be starting very soon.
Cards
21  Cardinals 1-0-0 The Cards have plenty of offense. If only they had a offensive line to go with it.
Jets
22  Jets 1-0-0 Lets see how long Chad Pennington can say healthy.
Redskins
23  Redskins 0-1-0 The Skins should have won their home opener. There is no excuse for dumb penalties.
Saints
24  Saints 1-0-0 Reggie Bush is going to make Houston fans sick with envy.
Bills
25 Bills 0-1-0 The Bills showed that they can hang with the NFL best in week 1.
Lions
26  Lions
0-1-0 Wow. The Lions defense showed up. What a shame that the offense hasn't showed up in years.
Browns
27 Browns 0-1-0 As of right now, Charlie Fyre is not the answer.
Titans
28  Titans 0-1-0 Vince Young might be the future. And the Titans seem to only care about the future rather than the here and now.
49ers
29  49ers 0-1-0 The Niners are no longer the worst team in the NFL. But they still suck. This team needs playmakers like Mike Tyson needs common sense.
Texans
30  Texans 0-1-0 Did Mario Williams even play? Don't worry about not having Reggie Bush. Rumor has it the Ron Dayne area is about to begin. Ha ha ha.
Packers
31  Packers 0-1-0 Favre is going to be asking himself why he didn't retire during this season. When you make the Bears offense look that superior, something is wrong.
Raiders
32 Raiders 0-1-0 It hurts me to write this but Oakland is the worst team in the NFL. The offensive line is horrific. It looks like Robert Gallery is a bust. The silver and black have no passion and it showed Monday night against the Chargers. Someone get Tom Flores on the phone!

That's all I have to say. If you have any comments, questions, or insults shoot me an email at ryanmcbain@aol.com.
