The fine folks over at kotaku.com have recently received some information regarding Microsoft's Xbox 360 from an inside source. Here are some of the major tidbits:
- The 360 will have a much 'gentler' look. The console will be a smooth silver color, with sweeps and curves rather than jagged angles.
- You will be able to buy customizable designer face plates for your 360. The 360's dashboard will also be customizable.
- The 360 will feature a large back-lit power button dubbed the "Ring of Light."
- Microsoft wants to make the Xbox 360 backwards compatible, but apparently they have had no luck up to this point. They haven't given up, however.
- Initially Microsoft will market the 360 using a "Circle of Light" ad campaign.
- The 360 will be able to stand upright or on its side.
