  • Police Cancel Too $hort Concert In Hollister, California; Rapper Surprises Fans

A show featuring Oakland, California Hip-Hop star Too $hort that was slated to take place in Hollister, California has been canceled, after local police denied a permit for the show.

Too $hort was booked to hit the stage on April 22nd at the Veterans Memorial Building, for an all-ages, family oriented concert, that would sell no alcohol.

Additionally, the promoters allegedly claimed that a local high school, bands and rappers would be invited to the show to participate and perform at the show.

Hollister police claim the application for the permit had numerous issues.

The event was advertised and tickets had been sold before the application had been approved by local officials.

Police said the promoters could re-apply for a permit if all the violations are corrected, but it will not change the city's decision to cancel the April 22nd concert.

In some positive Too $hort news, the legendary rapper surprised Golden State Warrior fans during a game earlier this week.

During the first quarter, NBA cheerleaders, the Warrior Girls, were on court performing Too $hort's hit single "Blow the Whistle."

Fans were shocked when Too $hort walked on court and performed the song with the Warrior Girls, in front of 20,000 fans.

The performance helped the Warriors defeat the Lakers for the first time in 12 games, with a score of 95-87.
