  • Snoop Dogg Announces Deion Sanders Hall of Fame Induction

After 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), two Super Bowl rings, two AP Defensive Player of the Year Awards, and eight Pro Bowl selections, cornerback/return specialist Deion Sanders will strut his stuff into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 6, 2011.

Known for his blazing speed, arrogant attitude, and natural athletic ability, Sanders was a defensive and offensive force throughout his NFL career.

Sanders furthered separated himself from the pack by excelling not only in professional football but baseball as well, and he is also the only player to score a baseball home run and a touchdown in the same week.

To this day, Sanders is the only person to play in both a Super Bowl and a World Series.

AllHipHop.com spoke to Sanders at the 9th Annual Snoop Bowl hosted by Snoop Doggin Dallas during the 2011 Super Bowl.

Snoop Dogg halted the festivities to announce Sander’s forthcoming induction into the Hall of Fame.

"Thank the Lord and Deion Sanders' mother for having him,” said Snoop Dogg.

We also shared a few minutes with Sanders, who gave words of encouragement to all, stating that, “Sometimes you may do something too prematurely and be called off sides, but you gotta line back up and give yourself another shot.”

The August 6 induction ceremony will be held in Canton, Ohio, and will be televised on The NFL Network.
