  • The Game Ordered To Stand Trial On 3 Felony Charges

Rapper The Game appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday (September 4) to face charges of making criminal threats and possession of a firearm in a school zone.

He was ordered to stand trial on three felony charges including exhibiting a firearm on the grounds of a facility for minors, as well as the aforementioned charges, during a basketball game at an educational center in South Los Angeles.

The charges stem from an alleged February 24th fight during a basketball game held at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in Los Angeles. Police allege that the 27-year-old rapper (real name: Jayceon Terrell Taylor) grabbed a gun from his red Cadillac Escalade after punching a player on the opposing team and threatened to shoot him.

In May, the rapper's home in Glendale, California was searched and Game was taken into custody, but at the time, it was unknown what the charges were for.

The Game remains free on $50,000 bail, as he awaits trial. If convicted, he could face more than five years in prison.
