  • Suge Knight Asks Judge To Reconsider $130 Mil Ruling

A $130 million judgment against former Death Row Records boss Marion"Suge" Knight may be set aside.

Knight was ordered to pay over a hundred million dollars to singer Lydia Harris, who allegedly helped Knight start Death Row but was later forced out without adequate compensation.

Harris' suit claimed that she and her husband, incarcerated drug dealer Michael 'Harry-O' Harris, were the founders of the label, and that she was prevented from having a career while being slandered by Knight on websites, TV and radio.

According to the Los Angeles Times, attorney Dermot Givens is now asking that the $130-million judgment be set aside because of supposedly new evidence of fraud perpetrated by Harris and her husband.

According to the motion, which is expected to be the focus of a hearing today (Jan. 2), Harris did not tell the court she filed for bankruptcy five years before suing Knight, and never claimed a stake in Death Row during the bankruptcy proceeding.

Knight, incidentally, filed for bankruptcy himself in April of 2006 in response to the lawsuit.
