  • THE TREE

TOOK A STROLL THROUGH THE PARK, WHERE I LOST MY HEART
FAIL IN LOVE WITH A TREE, FORGETTING IT SHADED ME
I BUILT A SWING ON TRUST, TILL OUR CHAINS TURN TO RUST
MUST IT POUR WHEN IT RAINS, THIS PAIN LEFT ME SPLINTERS
MADE THE AUGUST SUN FEEL LIKE THE COLD DARK WINTER
IN HER BEAUTY IS WHERE I SEEN HER GROW
SHE LEFT TIMES OF HAPPINESS AND SORROW
    I GEUSS TOMARROWS NEVER PROMISED
    AND YESTERDAYS ALWAYS MISSED
NOW I TAKE A FIST OF ROSES, KNOWING THAT I’LL BLEED
    LEAVING ME SCARS SELF INFLICTED
CAUSE LOVES IS JUST A SICKNESS THAT EVERONE SEEMS TO CATCH
ITS THE REASON WHY SO MANY PEOPLE PARADE AROUND IN MASK
IVE LEARNED A LOT FROM TREE OF MY PAST
NOW TIMES IN THE PARK I WONDER IF LOVE CAN REALLY LAST………..
