  • Too Late

    time drudges on
with such force that it leaves
    indents
    deep caverns in our skin
    and in my forearms.
    Time remains the constant companion
    the one solace
the mere promise that nothing will last
    not the firmness of skin
    the euphoria of beginning love
    the ecstasy of orgasm
the agony of my bleeding wounds.
    And the life
time has forced me to leave behind
    was filled with dull razors
burgendy scabs that went down to the nerves.
    And the life
    time is presenting me with
is so far away from what i was (who i am)
that i realize now i missed my calling
    changed my fate.
I should have sharpened my blade
cut time out of my existence
    before it was too late
    and i became
    who i am now.
