  • PSN Downtime Has Caused Problems for Dark Souls

Dark Souls producer Kei Horono, speaking to CVG, said that the so far three weeks of downtime for the PSN has caused "problems" while developing the online adventure, but he remains confident the game will reach its October release without incident.

"I would be lying if I said the problems with PSN hadn't caused us some problems," he said. "But we are in contact with Sony and are aiming to meet a street date of October 11."

Sony is still not sure how long the network will be down, having said anywhere from a few more days to the end of the month, but the recently announced Dark Souls pre-order program for a collector's edition full of goodies should get the early fans interested.

We will see how any continued downtime for the PSN will affect development of Dark Souls and other online-heavy games.
