  • Anonymous Claims to Have Stolen Apple User Data

Anonymous, the infamous hacker group behind a number of infiltrations, has reportedly landed another attack, this time dealing a blow against Apple.

The group recently released data that allegedly contains 27 usernames and passwords from an SQL database from one of Apple's servers. The passwords are encrypted, so this may just be Anonymous proving that they can penetrate the servers if they really wanted to.

According to their Twitter account, it appears that this was an isolated incident but that "Apple could be a target" for future attacks. It unclear if this occurrence is part of the Operation Anti-Security movement that Anonymous is has been executing with the help of hacker group LulzSec, the organization at least partially to blame for the PlayStation Network outage.
