  • DMX Sued For $750,000 Following Botched Comeback Tour

DMX is in legal trouble once again, this time for violating a contract with a booking agency.

DMX has been sued for almost $750,000 by a booking agency over a botched international comeback tour.

According to TMZ, a company named Heavy Rotation filed a suit against X in New York City, New York, stating that it had an exclusive yearlong deal with the rapper to book him international tour dates. But after he encountered several legal troubles, including child support squabbles and a traffic violation, a lien was placed on his passport, preventing him from leaving the country.

Heavy Rotation claims it paid to clean up X’s legal mess, dishing out almost $100,000 to make his situation right. X continued to cause problems, hiring another management company that tried to book him in the U.S. and violating the contract.

X couldn’t resolve his passport problems, so the overseas concerts were canceled. His manager offers a differing opinion on the situation, stating that Heavy Rotation engaged in sketchy business practices, forcing X to sever ties with the company. HR claims it lost $749,285 on the sour deal.
