  • Drake Talks Criticism, Advice From Floyd Mayweather

Drake talks to MTV's Sway about how boxer Floyd Mayweather taught him to deal with criticism.

Whether it's disgruntled Hip Hop purists, Ghostface-impersonating bloggers or just Pusha T, it seems like a lot of people love to hate Drake. Now, in a recent interview with Sway of MTV, the YMCMB star responds to critics.

Drake explains that he always that it was actually Floyd Mayweather who taught him that whether he's being booed by a crowd or insulted on Twitter, it's sign that he's still relevant in music. He added that he's confident in his music and proud of all of his career decisions, regardless of what anyone says.

"There will be days when I walk in an arena and people will cheer and then there might be days when I walk in an arena and people might boo, but it all sounds the same to me because it's all just noise that lets me know that I'm relevant," he said. "I don't get booed. I don't face that. I mean [Mayweather] faces that challenge but my challenge is more with social media and open opinions and people just feeling like they need to talk."

He added, "It's important for me to let my fans know I really don't care. I'm confident. I love the music I make and the videos I make and the people I associate with and every decision I've ever made."
