Synopsis: Taking a page from the storylines found in both the "The Elektra Assassin" and "The Elektra Saga" graphic novels, the film finds Elektra again working for the Order of the Hand, the group that trained – and then abandoned – her. At the request of Kirigi, the film’s villain, she is told to target Harbor Island man named Mark Miller because, she is told, of an act his grandfather performed. A widower, Miller is a likeable man introduced to Elektra by his 13-year-old daughter Abby. One other major character will be Stick, a martial arts trainer.

According to FilmJerk, the trailer for director Rob Bowman's 'Elektra', starring Jennifer Garner as the sexy assassin, will be attached to 'Taxi', which is set for release on October 8th. Expect the trailer to hit the net that same week. Thanks to 'CountingDown' for the heads up!

"Apparently there wasn't enough stock footage left over from DAREDEVIL for Ben Affleck to keep his promise of never returning to the character, and now Colin Farrell is following as Bullseye. Both will make cameo appearances in the upcoming spin-off ELEKTRA starring Jennifer Garner. While Ben is reportedly going to be in some sort of dream sequence, it's unclear as to where or why Colin is in the film."

Superhero Hype! has learned that Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Peter Pan) has a cameo role in 20th Century Fox's Elektra, starring Jennifer Garner and directed by Rob Bowman. Isaacs will play the character McCabe, an agent who works with Elektra. McCabe was previously believed to be played by Colin Cunningham. In the February 18 comic book adaptation, assassin-for-hire Elektra Natchios (Garner) is revived by the Order of the Hand, a group of assassins who helped train her. Assigned by the Hand's current leader, Kirigi (Will Yun Lee), to kill a man, Mark Miller (Goran Visnjic), and his 13-year-old daughter, Abby (Kirsten Prout), Elektra soon befriends them and decides to stand up to her ninja peers. Thanks to 'Alex Chinn' for the heads up!

Although we have reported on Bob Sapp's casting (see May 15, 2004), here is some more detailed information on his character: "Elektra casts the 29-year-old Sapp as "Stone," an evil assassin whose physique is made of stone. The forthcoming flick expands on a Daredevil storyline, whereby the lead woman recovers from a near death experience to battle a clan of mystical ninjas collectively known as "The Hand." Sapp’s character is a member of the group." Thanks to superherohype.com for the news!
