At this moment, the WWE is planning on having Steve Austin in effect help Brock Lesnar defeat Goldberg at WrestleMania XX.
This in turn accomplishes two things, first it leaves the door open for Goldberg to return down the road and have a possible money match with Austin.
Also, it doesn't give either Lesnar or Goldberg a clean win over one another, again leaving the door open for that fued to resume if an agreement with Bill Goldberg can be reached over the coming months. At this time, the WWE is still working on re-signing Goldberg, but the situation remains the same and his last match is scheduled to be at WMXX.
