As has been reported, Triple H is currently taking a hiatus from WWE television. His break has nothing to do with alleged heat with Hulk Hogan, and is merely to give the wrestler a chance to rest.
Nonetheless, the hiatus will not mean several weeks free from work. At Vince McMahon’s urging, Triple H is currently working in a behind-the-scenes role. While not assisting at the TV tapings, he’s seen at the WWE headquarters learning about the business-side of professional wrestling. HHH had always been a regular guest at the WWE offices, but it was usually to utilize the gym.
In fact, however, Triple H is said to be using the gym far less than usual. He’s been described as “looking soft” and not as determined to train as he normally is when on hiatus.
Rumors persist that Triple H will return to wrestle Ric Flair at Summerslam. While that was indeed the original plan, there are some who believe he might not even return for the PPV, let alone for a match with Flair. At this point, though, nothing is confirmed.
